More than 100 Years of the Finest Amenities and Services
The Country Club of Jackson is a family-focused, private, member owned country club in Northeast Jackson. Situated on 400 acres of rolling terrain, we offer an array of world-class amenities for every member of your family.
1914: It All Began when...
A small group of businessmen purchased 100 acres off Clinton Boulevard, five miles west of downtown Jackson. At that time, the Club was so far out that a surrey, driven by a local, older gentlemen, was provided for people who did not have cars.
Early 1960's: The Move to Northeast Jackson
In 1958, the Club purchased 400 acres of row crop land on the corner of County Line Road and Old Canton. Members of the Club drew straws for lots adjacent to the new clubhouse. Doors opened in 1963 as the hub of social activity for not just Club members but for the city and area surrounding it. Wedding receptions, charity events, club meetings, bridge clubs, and more have found a home here.
Famous personalities have played our golf course such as Bob Hope, Bryon Nelson, Lee Trevino, and Jack Nicklaus , as well as many more.
1998: Fitness Center
The Club added a fitness center designed for members who desire quality and convenience. Through the years, this center has expanded into a 16,500 sqft. fully functioning modern fitness facility including a full-service spa for the ultimate restorative escape.
2007-2009: Club Renovation & John Fought Golf Course
Redesigned from 2007-2008 by acclaimed golf course architect John Fought, the Championship 18 (the combined Dogwood and Azalea nines) plays host to the PGA TOUR's Sanderson Farms Championship each Fall. Cypress, the Club's family nine, is an open course (no tee times) that enjoys two sets of forward tees (2,100 and 1,400 yds, respectively) but can also stretch to 3,500 yards; truly a set of tees for every level of player.
